Welcome. My name is Karl. Discovering in 2014 that I had a gift for writing about movies and TV led to the following year Mr Geeky being born out of my love for both. My primary passion is independent cinema, particularly films outside of the mainstream. Since 2018 I have been part of The Bloody Asylum on Facebook, owned by Chris Pirri, as predominantly writer, reviewer, and contributor. From 2017 I have also written a monthly review for the Cinema Cult section of Last Day Deaf webzine. Foremost the hope always is that my pieces are enjoyed by readers as much as I love writing them, my passions can be felt in the words, and it introduces others to movies and shows, old and new, they may not have been aware of. My main aim is to always have fun with my writing, and hope that readers do too.
